I hope the CT scan gets to the bottom of whats causing your problem. :)

Most hospitals will give it to you on CD - you will need to pay for this. I think the going rate is about £20.

I'd wait for the CT. If they have a good number of slices, then you will be able to get an excellent 3D render of your head. You can then choose to remove flesh, and have a 3D of your skull....

Interesting. I took part in a study about 10 years ago and got a print of my own scan and a crappy T-shirt.

Do CT scans use files compatible with industry standard 3D rendering software?

Oo I can see my OH having hours of fun with some 3d modelling brain work :)

So who do you ask? Any ideas?

No, the software is pretty specialised. You will generally get a DICOM (imaging standard) viewer on the CD, but this won't do 3D. What they would be able to do at the hospital is a 3D model and print that out as a 2D - but you won't be able to manipulate it.

Ask the radiographer or your consultant. Some will happily do it, others won't.

I want mine to use as wallpaper on my pc :)

Oh and to prove I have a brain lol

The consultant hadn't reviewed mine when I went for the follow up, and he did it with us in the room.

Not sure I'd want to have one of the slices with my eyes on as wallpaper. Ewww.

Nice aren't they :blink::blink:

It was fab LOL. My left nostril offered a lot of resistance and pain so he didn't get very far investigating that side. The right side went in for miles!

Was really quite bizarre.

My OH had the better view of the MRI than I did. From what I saw of it it looks amazing!

I was given a hearing test whilst I was there too (presumably cos of the thing showing on my ear) and he did loads of stuff and I'd sat there not hearing anything for a while and he came in and asked if my left ear had any problems... Turned out his headphones were broke on the left side ... so had to do it again with the headphones on the other way round.

They gave me copy of MRI image on CD. Well sold rather than gave. Think it was £15. That one was about 3 years ago. Have had others since, but haven't bought copies of those laugh.gif

No doubt a mass of contradiction and illogic[1].

[1] she's a woman :P

So that's what the spoiler tag does. Pretty nifty.
