The Queen's Speech: 1St In Ireland In 100 Years

Recommended Posts

I predict : "Told you." (followed by dash to parked up London Taxi)

I have no idea what you are talking about other than the film itself. What does the rest of your post mean?

Oh, the dangers of attempted comedy. At least one BFTG gets it:

1 ) monarch to visit Irish repulbic for first time in 100 years.

2 ) back then the Irish were demanding independence + the IRA were cosying up to Germany (Hitler);

3 ) we got kicked out, Ireland got it's "liberty";

4 ) 100 years later Ireland is a slave state of Europe, ruled by, you guessed it, the Germans, and they hate it, and the Germans hate them too for not wanting to pay 5.9% and being profligate.

- oh, nearly forgot, Phillip drives a London Taxi.

The big question : will Phillip make a mega-gaffe? :P

Over on politics.ie the best early suggestion for a gaffe by Phil is ''You Paddies have made a right mess of this place'' Which would at least have an element of truth about it.

How did Ireland, manage to produce , IMO, the greatest military leader ever?

Whittaker: You know he had to buy German

mercenaries to beat Napoleon, don't you?

Spot the quote.

Rather strange the Queen`s State visit to the Republic of Eire, ignored her since 1952. The British Government help to bail them out with a big loan and hey ho the Queen gets invited on a State visit. Watch them Ma`am they`re only inviting you for a further loan from your personal wealth. :D
