Patfig
Tax Refund Notification After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity, we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of 468.50 GBP As I have only been back in the Uk for a few months this is cr@p. I get a fair few similar phishing emails from NZ too and they are extremely plausible!!

I get a fair few similar phishing emails from NZ too and they are extremely plausible!! yeah, spam filter catches a few most days, and occasionally something gets through. Funnily enough I got an unexpected £1500 from the taxman a few weeks ago. No email, not even a letter, just a credit in my bank account! Nor anything to do with my tax return for 2009/10, for which I got the rebate back in May.

porca misèria
Report dodgy stuff there Yawn. Government showing an interest, about fifteen years behind both the spammers and anti-spammers. Fortunately the latter actually do something. (The last time I turned off spam filtering to my email was in IIRC 2001, and that got me over 4000 spam messages per day for the week or so before I re-enabled it. And it wasn't even fully disabled: I still had known spam-factory IPs blocked at the firewall).
