Bruce Banner
On this morning's newspaper review on BBC News, the guest reviewer, a former editor of the News of the World, highlighted a piece on the London house owned by Gadaffi and said... "....can you imagine if Gadaffi was to live there? There would be security, helicopters, TV crews, it would certainly bring the price of houses down in that part of Hampstead, let's hope not". guitarman001
Some guy one the Sky News papers review said something similar not long ago. All revealing their self-interests now.

I don't see what difference it would make. Here in London, we welcome any old South American despot, any old beserk African dictator, any old dodgy Asian business 'tycoon' and anybody else with a shady past. In fact, having a shady past is pretty much a pre-requisite. That, and having a lot of money helps too. Hey, it's all good.
righttoleech
On the contrary.....it is a welcome reminder to the sort of people who live there that their area is exclusive. This is why media people are so fond of telling you how they live in 'a place in west london called Notting Hill'......or the like. Many of their viewers actually come from such areas but cannot afford to remain there.

This obsession with house prices is pathological. They've lost complete sight of the bigger picture. Nuts.
