Libyan's Ripple Effect Reaches South Korea

Recommended Posts

1968 has come around again.

We will, as usual, miss out on any fundamental change and will see, at most, a few loonie leftie students with large beards together with some Chavs set light to things in the street with a few chants. The male students might cause a bit more trouble though--but not much.

We, like the Americans, don't do revolutions---we go the whole hog and do Civil Wars.

South korea was getting 3/4's of their national income from the libya area in 1968, was it?

Do tell.

How come we never hear about protests in Iraq and Palestine?

Because they are boring little backwaters that nobody in the west has any interest in...?

The gap between rich and poor here has been growing for some years. During the boom it was just that the wealth of the rich was growing faster than the wealth of the less rich. But now the poor are getting poorer while the rich are still getting richer. If it can be shown that the increasing wealth of the rich is the cause of increasing hardship for the less well-off, through hoovering up a bigger share of a limited amount of money, then people are likely to take to the streets here.

Palestine has been the decoy for the Armourdinnerjackets, Gadaffis and Mubaraks--to keep the prolls anger focused on Israel and the West and off the real rapists.

We're "looking after" Iraq so nothing to see here folks

Same goes for Afghanistan

Pakistan are our "friends"

As for Palestine, They are all "terrorists" dontcha know cos Israel says so.

Sounds like this is likely to put further pressure on the embattled banking sector which is currently suffering bank runs:

Report: Bank Run In South Korea

Koreans have a totally original solution to this [sarcasm] : I'll let Injin do the honours.

(by the way, well done mods for failing to spot that this has anything to do with the economy [more sarcasm])
