Tired of Waiting Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 Interesting though this discussion is, the OP was hoping to discuss the merit in having planning laws, and what might resiult if said planning laws were not concerned with looks, but only a very loose regulation as to what can be built where - e.g. residential / commercial / industrial. Timak Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 There are acres and acres of wild space near me, in one of the most intensively farmed areas of the country, which I have never seen used for growing food crops. I say let the state buy it at agricultural values and then rent it to people like me to build houses on. The increased tax I paid would benefit everyone and I'd have a nice house to live in.
