For any past or present Harley owners out there, did you ever join H.O.G. or one of the local HOG chapters and is it worth it?

A chance to meet up with like minded individuals to enjoy your machinery on the open road or a bunch of sad old gits?

Any real benefits like discounts?

Difficult to tell from the on-line info.

Try the HDRCGB (Harley Davidson Riders Club of Great Britain)!

I don't think "real" bikers have much in common with HOG members, but , hey,

that's just my opinion!

Christ! Have you just bought some monstrous chrome plated scooter? :P:huh:

Yes I bought a chrome tractor about a year ago.

Had to get rid of my Speed Triple as it was killing my back.

Was considering a Rocket Roadster but although it's got an awesome engine it was just physically too big for my liking.

Road tested a Thunderbird, several Victory's and several Harleys and was very suprised to find the bike I liked the best was a Superglide.

So I got one.

It's like an exceedingly fast armchair.

I thought the Triumph RAT setup was pretty good (and free) but from what i've seen of HOG it doesn't seem to be offering much more than RAT does and you have to pay nearly £60 a year.

No, I think they can engineer those things to go round corners

It might not corner like a Fireblade but I reckon it'll out-drag just about any superbike from a standing start.

Which is nice.

Welcome to "that sort of age"!:D

I've had a few bikes, and I like a bit of comfort! ;)
