Sweden Raised Their Interest Rates - Will Be 2.5% Next Year

The krona rose 0.4 percent against a basket of ninedeveloped-market peers, according to Bloomberg Correlation-Weighted Currency Indexes, and jumped versus the dollar. TheRiksbank said it now expects the key repo rate to average 2.5percent in the first quarter of next year, compared with 2.2percent previously. It raised the rate by 25 basis points to 1.5percent today, as predicted by economists. Norway’s krone rose.
