Pent Up Supply Hitting The Market?

Recommended Posts

So whilst doing my usual look at RM, I noticed this added in the last 24h

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28385351.html

which I thought "I've seen that before". I recon about a year ago it was on but a check on zoopla shows no sale for that road in 2 years. Clearly who wants to live in what looks like a warehouse  , York seems to have quite a bit of pent up supply, I keep tabs on the number for sale in my criteria and there are about 150 more than at this time last year whth the graph mimicking last years but at a higher levvel and squeezed up a bit. So by my reconing (not much, I know) we are about to see the mother of all rushes for the exits-someones just screamed fire in the packed darkened theatre  .

Can't see any evidence of a rush, or even a significant increase in my area. I can't help wondering if IR rises in May or thereabouts will encourage sellers a little. But by then the main buying season will be over.

It reminds of a cabin cruiser boat my dad used to own moored on Loch Lomand. The way there is not room to swing a cat, and as such everything is ergonomically placed to save space...wall mounted tv (at right angles to a chair?), wall mounted microwave.
