Question Time

Recommended Posts

Looks like it could be good this week, it's got Douglas Murray on the show who is a very switched on righty, then the usual scatter of lefty nut cases!

First question is on Prisoners getting the vote, already the Bristol audience sound like a bunch of leftwing seals clapping anything, saying that Douglas Murray just got a good clap!

Says it all - this forum used to comment vociferously on QT in real time

Your thread has no replies.

This forum has voted with its feet on QT.

It is so biased and fixed that it has now become an irrelevance for all but the most easily led sheeple

It carries no intellectual weight whatsoever anymore.

Nice to see Jacqui Smith again - not.

Since industrial manufacturing was the reason cities mostly existed in its absence the public sector has filled the void. Ergo most cities are now public sector dependant and leftie.

Politics in the UK has become meaningless. The financial sector sets the policies and the central bank prints the readies. The rest of us are not required.

Sheeple fodder for people who've been to university - probably even worse sheeple behaviour offending than the X-factor/celeb-obsessed lower orders.

Really, I don't know how I've survived so long without the benefit of her views on matters.

It's true, it's usually dredfully left wing, but I'm basically watching it for Douglas Murray. As usual the left out number the right (3 to 2 tonight) and then there is dimblebore.

I hope the right get equal airtime to the left, but we know that'll never happen!

Again, Douglas Murray completely spot on and now Mehdi Husan will come across as a idiot.

Dimblebore on £15K each episode, and allegedly threatening to quit the show because he'll be required to work in Glasgow on occasion.

To me this is sad. I am admittedly only recently politically aware, and therefore have only been interested in this program for the last 3 years. During this time its has become more and more of a joke. I ask the more experienced here. Is this a new phenomenon, or was it always complete bilge?

Robin Day was no more or less a stooge of the establishment than any of the others that have followed.

Differing opinions.

Was Robin Cook really better? and more to the point was there such an obvious bias in the audience?

I used to be the same. Wanted to be a bit more informed about politics. Now I know its all a complete farce, I'd rather be like the millions of other people in this country who just get on with living.

Well, at least I tried.

Christ it's pathetic isnt it? I am the same. I grow to adulthood, reach political maturity, and within 5 years realise that the whole thing is a waate of time. - exactly what I felt in my youth. I feel like I have gone backwards. In my youth I alwatys felt politcs was a waste of time - but that was easy to say when I wasn't politically motivated. And now I realise that self political motivation is irrelevant. It is still a waste of time. I feel like I have intelectually moved backwards by not trusting my initial instincts. I have moved backwards. Maybe this is the first realisation of old age.

QT was so dire I switched over to BBC2 and caught NewsNight Scotland....

Nice to see Salmond yet again run rings around the hapless Brewer... No wonder they were so keen to keep him out of the leaders debates last year - he'd have mopped the floor with the worthless Con/Dem/Liebore sh1ts... B)

They say the government, and people in general, just want to do whats best for their children and future generations. Thats the whole point behind civilisation right?

And yet we continue to place the burden on our young and the unborn, forcing them to pay for debts which current generations have built up. No fecking wonder everyone is striking, the students who are yet to go to uni will be saddled with massive debts, and thats even before they manage to get a foot in the door, a decent graduate job in the rat race.

I seriously ask, whats the point?

IMHO the last 5 years have seen the BBC completely give up caring about hiding the fact theyre extremely left wing (not that they ever tried that much) and theyre now pushing their agenda like never before on all their channels and shows. I noticed there was some other extremist "student union bar" propaganda on state sponsored channel 4 at the same time, with leftist liberal Tory's arguing with communists about the Big Society .... i just wish all political shows would be truthful about the level of debt and the fact the Govt spends 51% of GDP whilst taking the ludicrously high level of 41% GDP in taxation.

I am not interested in scotland. I might be if its inhabitants didnt hate me so much purely because I am english.

That said, they really need to look to the welsh if they want to develop their intra britanic racism. - Before you all point your fingers, I hold no malice towards either of them - they just seem to hate me because I am english by birth.

I'll think you'll find you're making a sweeping statement about people based on race...

Modern politicians have no ideology, other than mypensionology. They laugh and drink together behind the scenes, go out on the panel, tear rehearsed and predictable strips off each other, the audience claps (look closely, the same people clap at contradictory comments through the whole show) and they go back to each other's houses for more drinks and laughs.

Not socialists, capitalists. Mypensionologists. We are in a Vaudeville State.
