Recommended Posts

Did anybody watch Mary Portas show, trying to make estate agents become HONEST and helpful?

I think it was on channel 4, if so you can catch it on 4od. Well worth a watch!

I watched it but found the EAs to be parodies of circus clowns with their extreme hairstyles and clothes. I think she missed an opportunity to really expose the "profession".

BTW what qualifications do you need for a professional EA?

A driving licence!

yeah, watched it, biggest shocker was the amount of money they got for selling a 500K property, 7.5K, and what do they do for that... FA^2. At least the new methods they put in some effort, but they already admitted it wasn't necessary, 'property sells itself'. Soon they will be extinct.

Don't need any qualifications AFAIK, just need to have sold your soul to the man with the pointy horns.

May well have done 1995-2006, not happening now though, is it.

All that commision, trendy mini's, but couldn't afford to buy a comb (hair style, looked like he went to work strait from his bed, no effort in appearing as a professional!!) yes, clown is a very good description.

But will they continue being 'honest', or go back to there old ways?:unsure:
