bumpy
Has anyone had experience of owning a house that sits right on a seafront or clifftop. Lovely sea views, but what are the issues with salt etc?
The Masked Tulip
Has anyone had experience of owning a house that sits right on a seafront or clifftop. Lovely sea views, but what are the issues with salt etc? Lived in a house that over-looked Swansea Bay and the wooden windows were constantly being replaced due to the weather. Sometimes you could not open the seaward facing doors as they would almost be blown off their hinges. A door window smashed once on one such occasion. Had the wooden stuff replaced with UPV and that improved things but apparently the UPV is just as likely to suffer from the same elements. It will just taken longer. To be frank, if you can have sea-views it is worth it IMPO.
Patfig
Has anyone had experience of owning a house that sits right on a seafront or clifftop. Lovely sea views, but what are the issues with salt etc? Some folks have houses on cliff tops that end up on the sea front!
