Blue Nose Bear
This property is such a joke that words fail me. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-29009623.html No damp then
MattW
You can get a reasonable sized houses for £160k in my area. About a mile away from where I live is this rather sweet, if not particularly spacious, end-of-terrace for OIEO £163k: Ella Rd, Norwich It has garden space to the side and it looks like space for off road parking for a medium sized car. If I was in a position to buy then I would put in an upstairs bathroom in the box room.
Protect Rural England
The cheapest property in my area is this horror 1 bed flat http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28409287.html at £185,000. I bet Foxtons are too embarrassed to put it in the window. That really puts any gripes I may have in perspective. I didn't truly appreciate how lucky I am. It makes me want to weep it is soooooooooooooo depressing
Oh Dear
That really puts any gripes I may have in perspective. I didn't truly appreciate how lucky I am. It makes me want to weep it is soooooooooooooo depressing Are these the kind of properties the higher tax bracket earners must aspire to? It is getting beyond a joke. The quality of this countries housing stock is dire, and for the prices? At least Dick Turpin wore a mask FFS!
TeaPea
As much of a dump as Hull is, I'm glad I don't live down South, you can buy this for just over the average house price in the UK; http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28687577.html?premiumA=true Not brilliant but looks incredible compared to some of the things posted on this thread! sohpc
Muswell Hill. Although not really Muswell Hill, more like ringside for the North Circular ring road. All the charm of an open prison...I've added a bit on for London - and also anything below they're too ashamed to show a photo. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17849529.html

Parkwell
I drew a search over parts of Sheffield I've an interest in. Once again realised I don't want to be ripped off that badly. One above £164,950 http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17887629.html One below £160,000 http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31498511.html
sohpc
Can't find anything close in the other area I'm looking at - Crouch End. The nearest I can manage is this - the chance to lurk in a converted roof space, like the deformed relative in a Victorian Gothic novel. A snip at £215,000. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17169993.html Christ, I've depressed myself now.
