gf3
and from local folklore, "who killed the ****", a pretty dodgy area I recall. Yes Ruardead is only a mile away. one of the reasons the house is so cheap it is close to a council estate but as far as I know she has never had any trouble.

Hmmmm.................. Im sure its a lovely area but no thanks, you keep it! Thanks for that hadn't heard of that one. however the forest of dean may have a few grotty areas but no bad one's. If something like this happened in any big town or city it would probably not even hit the papers. You would only have to steal a bucket to get headline news down there. Too far away from the rest of the world for my liking. Seemed so close when I lived in Bristol that me and the Mrs considered moving there. Due to the location it is a pain in the **** to get to. Houses are a lot cheaper in that area for a reason...

Yes you got a 30 minute drive to Gloucester to get any where. The problem with the forest of dean is that any body with any talent leave. my friend that went of to university never came back nothing there for them.
Executive Sadman
Looks nice, but no en suite for a 4bed is probably rare, small lounge, and 4th bed downstairs. Out of interest ive done RM searches around there before, Cinderford seems a cheaper area, not much commutable work options i guess? Wouldnt call it cheap though. £300k is still a lot of wonga for what must be a barely 1000sq ft home in the back of beyond. Similar sized 4bed homes in Grotty towns in northants start from £125k-140k (should be around £80-115k), even with the character and gardens in the OP, i wouldnt pay more than a 20% premium, given Gloucs seems to have similar demographics and job oppurtunities. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-28367908.html http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17831202.html http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31976525.html

Tired of Waiting
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-29210525.html had to drop 10% 150sq.m. Building cost = £150k, plus land. Sold for £300k -10% = £270k. Is that plot really worth £120k?! In that location?! . Who would want there when I can buy a 2 bed flat in the roof of someone else's semi for the same price?
