Word is .. in the halls of accountancy central is that he's not long for tihs world; the under performance of his biz along wif the haemorrhage of senior bods to rivals may mean the p45 is already on the way, which will, ironically, cause the wretched woman to indulge in some actual austerity measures....

When he gets his p45, shell probably just divorce him, taking the house and half of his savings to 'keep her in the manner she has been accustomed', then find another workaholic to suck all of the life out of.

She was writing totally tongue-in-cheek. She went on a creative writing course and then needed something to write about. Hubby pulls in £500K pa so austerity not really required.

500K pa - should be enough for a mortgage on a 2 bed flat in London. No wonder she feels hard done by.

You can see why the French got fed up with these people and had them all guillotined. It won't be much longer before peoples' stomachs start rumbling and it happens again.
