How is it bad for US/UK rates if China falls over and commodities nosedive? Sorry, I seem to be missing something Pedro good buddy.......

(Zero hedge are out and out hard money/gold bugs so I get their permanent angle)

Chinese New Year is a week off. I can assure that the Chinese worked between Xmas and Chinese New Year when I lived there. Xmas is another working day. IIRC they get the day off for the solar new year.
