Might watch the first one though I can't see them construing HPI as bad in any way, nor mentioning the slight downturn in house prices over the last 6 months and further falls ahead. Will give the other 2 programmes a miss - am loaded with flu at the moment and watching them could well result in me being sick again. 19 year mortgage 8itch
I heard her on the radio a couple of years ago (during the 2008/9 dip) where she both refuted the eat my hat comment - it was supposed to refer to some short time bound period back in the day - and secondly denied she knew anything about the IO/Liar Loan culture driving prices so high and she would not condone that behaviour. She's either stupid, conniving or both. Take your pick.

Noted that the price today is 20% lower than when they bought. I won't hold my breath....

Pole
Up to first ad break it's been all bull. She bought for £103K and sold for £250K. This programme is ultra-bullish so far. Even 9/11 didn't stop the boom BTW, I can't believe how self-obsessed they are... Modesty is not something they bother with.

Blod
Just mentioned the crash and the evil banks daring not to lend, this might be interesting just to see how they try to explain things away.
athom
nice history of house prices actually and more evidence if needed that the 2001 average house price of £89k was already high and only liar loans for BTL allowed the mad rise soooooo now door to that has been closed we will inevitably be seeing those prices again...... (well eventually anyway )
ccc
Blame everything on the US, in the next segment after telling us that half the mortgages in the UK in 2004 were dodgy. All these people know so much about this don't they ? Big bubbles go pop do they ? I wonder how many of these 'experts' said so at the time. ccc
Their attitude is pretty clear isn't it ? There are homeowners and there are scum. That is about it. I can see where this is going to end. Bad stuff has been and gone but dont worry on the way up now and bricks and mortar, safe as houses, blah blah.

ccc
STOP I actually find it useful in seeing what they are spouting to the masses. Need to understand this guff to understand why people have the attitudes they have.
