Flu - Even After Vaccination

Recommended Posts

My partner is just recovering after a really bad dose of flu, probably of the swine variety. Now I have got exactly the same symptoms but in a much milder form than hers. It also seems to be happening over a much shorter time scale than hers too. Now I did think I was going to be spared the virus as I had the flu jab a couple of months ago due to me being an asthmatic but this would now seem to be wrong. Has anyone else out there caught a flu virus after being vaccinated? And can you confirm if that just results in milder symptoms?

The vaccine is only 70% effective, which means you get reduced symptoms I think.
