Julian Worricker On Housing Market Coming Up On R4

Recommended Posts

Melanie Bien: Mortgages harder to get next year. Interest rates may go up next year.

Ramper says HP up over last year, and 'property still a good investment'. Market is volatile.

Strong opposition from another saner guest against more reckless lending. 1 in 6 homeowners struggling.

Bien says lenders must relax lending criteria. She believes interest rates on way up next year.

Three bulls versus one bear?.

Even ramper says buying into the market now on a variable rate is a 'timebomb' waiting to go off.

Rise in repossessions next year..

Overall feeling just about bearish - anyone else get this impression?

I think the ramper compared the Halifax average price now with the average price at the arbitrary point of April 2009, rather than one year ago!
