Latest Prelim Mortgage Figures

This is actually up from 44k in October to 45k in November. FF has the wrong previous figure, it shows final approvals which are not comparable to the preliminary figure.

This is actually up from 44k in October to 45k in November. FF has the wrong previous figure, it shows final approvals which are not comparable to the preliminary figure.

Put differently, the actual figures in October might have been 44,499 and in November 44,501. It's not only the media and VIs that can spin numbers!

That would assume a journalist could understand maths, which they can't. The are more likely to drop the last three digits so it could be 44,999 and 45,001
