London Assembly Warns Of 'crisis' Over Timber Flats

Not sure the bit about timber framed buildings being banned after the Fire of London (1666) is entriely true, as I can think of a fair few built from the victoria era onwards...

If they do anything it could lead a lot of newish unmortgageable flats, steep reductions in resale values or very high insurance premiums in the future.

Or for the more paranoid on HPC is it just a VI scam to help create a bigger shortage of affordable properties!!!
