Amazon Down

Recommended Posts

Mods, please move after a while.

amazon.co.uk and amazon.de are currently down. Lots of twitter activity on it although no-one is sure if it is the DDOS or not. This means much more in financial terms than the visa or mastercard hits last week.

No, I've order £250,000,000,000 worth of Power Balls for Christmas.

When the bill comes, I'll ask for a bailout.

You could not have spent it more wisely.

Must be last minute shopping.

The Post Office parcel collection office always has massive queues that circle the outside of the building lately.

Relating to Amzon, our last two orders arrived having both been clearly rifled through, with all packaging and wrapping opened to seee if it was anything valuable.

And to be fair to Amazon, they agreed to replace the whole orders the next day.

I've heard quite a few stories of Amazon orders being robbed or checked over.

Courier or RM?

Courier.

I can imagine. They have a busy season. they hire casual labour at the depo. Some of this lot see it as a great opportunity to help themselves.

I imagine Amazon will bill all our replacements to them and if it happens more than occasionaly, they'll cull the contract, which you would think is enough of an incentive for the courier company to keep an eye open for theiving pikeys on their team.

cheers, not the local RM.

Amazon.com has been screwed most of the day too. Can't bode well for their 'cloud computing' customers if they can't keep their own web site working.
