Time For Higher Salaries / Fees

Recommended Posts

I work as a consultant and have just put up my fees by 20%. How about yous lot? (fees or salaries that is). Got to take account of house prices haven't you! If you're in a salaried position but don't have any bargaining power, joining a union is better than nothing - I'm still in the GMB even though I left the oil industry many years ago - they negotiated so well on my behalf when I was there, staying a member is just a way of saying thank you!

Is this another one of those "I'm considerably richer than yow!" threads?

Why don't you be done with it and just post a pic of your todger next to a ruler, you know you want to!

Didn't you used to be an EA?

I can't understand anyone opting out of union membership, its like going to Liberia without travel insurance.  Insane really.

Unions were just a thorn in my side when I worked on the shop floor, and only helped to speed up the demise of our company and the loss of my job !!

I just wish we could find a sensible middle ground.

When companies have the upper hand they take the p*ss, but so do unions when they get the chance.

The unions and the militant Left did a great deal of damage to this countries industry and the working classes during the 60's and 70's, from which we will never recover.

I think im the only person on the shop floor in my company that is not in the union, i will quite simply keep my tenner a month. If i get myself into trouble it wont be through neglegence ... i can fight for myself quite well.
