If...the Next Gen Works Out About The Baby Boomer Robbery

Recommended Posts

Did you ever see the BBC dramas "IF..."? 5 years ago?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/if

There was a great one dramatising what happens when the next gen work out the baby boomers have had a massive party and let them pick up the bill http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/if/3489560.stm

And one on the rich/poor divide. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/if/3489040.stm

They should re-air these! Very relevant.

There arent enough children of the boomer generation to vote the boomers from power. As a result, the Tories increase pensions as soon as they take power, and stiff the young with excessive debt for life student fees.

Well if you cant vote your way to fairness, what else do you have left? You can either be walked all over, or take some more forceful action.

There appear to have been very few cases of civil disobedience down the years, where the fault wasnt with the governing authorities.

It is a bit like a badly behaved child. The reason that they are badly behaved is that those with the power, the parent, misuse that power and abuse the life of the child, by ignoring them, shouting at them, smacking them when they wont do as they are told, whereas a good parent will listen and talk to their child, lead them and give them interesting and educational tasks to do and plenty of opportunity for play. Those with fulfilling lives and opportunities rarely need rules and guidance to fit in with society (psychopaths excepted).

And as David Willetts was trying to say in his recent book, our young are now subject to low opportunities, little chance of housing acquired through hard work, and a lot of tax to pay in the future to support those who are retired.

I can see why some get upset.
