Realty Cheque
Is it just me or are others having the same experience? I pass the same properties day in day out and it seems they've been up for sale forever. I live in London NW1, an area where properties change hands fairly frequently. There's another one up the road that's been for sale for about 6. Haven't bothered looking them up as I already have a place myself. I just come here for the craic and economic discussion, you see. right_freds_dead
the overpriced ones just stay there. though i am hearing EAs complaining about sellers more than ever. expecting unrealistic prices being a key beef.
uro_who
I would say that about 50% of the property here in Derbyshire has been for sale at the same price for over a year. Quite incredible. Meanwhile a dichotomy has developed. One strand of properties still getting more expensive when cheaper one haven't sold for 12 months (upper end) and the rest getting cheaper (low and middle) I'm just going to keep out of it until it all shakes down
DTMark
Exactly the same... I posted to the "North West" thread about a year ago about some properties that had been on the market for months. Those exact same properties are all still on the market, except two: one sold, and the other was taken off the market after 30k of cuts failed to have any effect. Just within one mile of here there are 3 properties that have been for sale for 2 years now.

Usually it is done for 3-6 months at a time, so two years is, I think, more than just fishing ABB
