Martin Lewis Just Used " House Price Crash " As An Analogy On Laura's Apprentice, You're Fired!

Recommended Posts

Talking about Jamie, he said something like this: "He was a property developer. Let's face it: His house price has crashed!"

Namecheck!

entering the popular lexicon: property developer 2010 = dotcom investor 2000

I heard the namecheck. Even better that Jamie Lester is an ex-EA.

'Biog: Jamie Lester age 28 Occupation: Overseas Property Developer Lives: London

One of four children, former estate agent Jamie Lester is a big fan of dogs, cars and skiing. Hugely into property development, he owned two properties by the age of 23 and started his own company at 24, turning over £1,000,000 in 2 and-a-half years. He describes himself as “honest and trustworthy”.

He says: “I’m very motivated and entrepreneurial – you need to go out there and get your hands dirty.”

FYI - you can link to specific positions too now - http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/wh2m4/?t=19m30s

Here's the iPlayer link:

The Apprentice - You're Fired! - Series 6, Episode 9

Martin starts talking at about 19:30. You can see that it's an over-rehearsed, pre-thought-out joke, and it's delivered like a lead balloon. Martin will not be doing standup any time soon. :D
