Stock Portfolio Trackers

Recommended Posts

I use the MoneyExtra stock portfolio tracker, which tells me the total and individual values of the shares I have, at the point in time that the page is refreshed.

I can see the history of individual stocks using something like ft.com, but is there a portfolio service that will show me a history of the value of my portfolio - i.e. a sum of all the historical charts for each symbol?

Cheers,

Fingers

Do you mean show a graph of each stocks share price on one page? If so then the motley fool has a view that shows that. http://www.fool.co.uk/

It only shows your current value though, and the change on the day. It's free to setup and you can always set up a few shares to see if it matches your needs.

That's not quite white I mean. I want to see the total value of the entire portfolio, over time. So if I've invested 6k in 6 different companies, some have gone up in value, some gone down, I want to see a single line chart for the past year, so it'd probably tell me the portfolio was worth £5800 12 months ago, and £6800 today.

I am not aware of a website that does that.

I think you will need to invest in some software. I use MS Money (there are thers too) to track my finances, it downloads share prices and has graphs, charts etc. It also keeps track of your bank account, credits cards etc, so may be worth checking out a demo.
