Made me laugh. They could have waited for January at least.

Desperate times, desperate measures.

Can anyone beat this one?

Property reduced in Countrywide 'sale' last Dec (Dorset) - it had been up for sale since summer 2007.

Then went to auction (twice), failed both times to sell.

Finally under offer (AP is about 32% below original AP) - but has been U/O for around 3 months so far.

Ooooh ... can we have some bear-food link action?

Erm I'm glad you asked. if it was really a "sale". But more likely £10K off.

I bet someone in middle management got their brownie points for thinking up that idea.

mmm

Maybe they need to inform the banks of their "Sale"

Regardless of asking prices, if sheeple cant borrow they can't sell.

even semi retarded oxygen wasting estate agents would know that surely?

In email from EA

'Change of Price by Very Motivated Sellers'

until this week they were just 'Motivated Sellers'

Next week "for sale on behalf of lender"?

So how are they going to co-ordinate 1000s of vendors to reduce their prices?

Just news, that great Banksy's 'No Future' mural in in your sig, (in Southampton) has been white-washed. Sorry.

SALE??? What a joke, the houses aren't theirs to offer at a sale price!

They have some cheek. What if a seller doesn't want to offer 10% off their house?

Hehe perhaps the vendors don't know... Anything on their books >3 months is in the sale.

Come 4th December, all these tagged properties are reduced by 10%.

Mr TwigsInaVase gets a call from the EA, "You've finally got an offer!"

Oh roll on tomorrow, I've already got the giggles in anticipation over what a catastrophe this is going to be!

...some sellers won't have agreed to it and be totally oblivious their property is now advertised in the sale!

...some EAs will forget to revert them back to their original price come monday

...sellers will get p*ssed off when they've dropped the price by 10% for the sale and still get no offers OR worse still... receive an offer that's another 20% off the sale price!

BUT I must say, this has got to be a good thing. Sellers may realise there is NOTHING else they can do other than REDUCE their asking price.

Countrywide property sale is now extended until the 12th December! Properties available at the sale price until then!

Obviously got no viewings booked for the sale weekend then! Hahaha. Fools...
