Frank Hovis
I'll post this one just for a laugh. 3 bedroom detached house in Camborne for £280k! Surely they typed a 2 and it should have been a 1. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-19746282.html I agree - simple mistyping. I bet they'll laugh about when they realise what it's actually been listed for!
Charlie Don't Surf
Ah yes, but it is in the exclusive Sandbanks area of Camborne
Charlie Don't Surf
I can't believe what utter crap is on the market in and around Penzance. Like I've probably said before, (almost) regardless of the price there is nothing to buy within 3 miles of Penzance. Most of the stuff on Rightmove has been on there for many, many months. I guess this point is demonstrated by the fact that when anything half decent (and without some glaring issue) comes on to the market it sells within weeks. Here's an example http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34752224.html?premiumA=true - has gone SSC in less than a month. There was another place I liked in Newlyn about a year back that went pretty sharp too. Are there actually any houses worth buying in this town?! Simon Brown
I see many places I like in the west Cornwall market now having 10% to even 15% price reductions. As someone who'll be buying next year this is very good news. Roll on the mother & father of all crashes please

Charlie Don't Surf
And another one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31354375.html £475k for this f-ugly thing. When are these people going to realise that someone is not going to spend 1/2 a million to live in an ugly pebble dash house in a 2nd rate village 5 miles from nowhere. Don't they look at fecking Rightmove and think 'hmm, these places are much nicer than ours. Cheaper too. Oh, and they've been on the market for a year'?? Simon Brown
And I'll tell you what - some of the prices are on the daft side of crazy, others sensibly priced. Probate sales seem to be much more realistic. The 'we need to get what we paid' are living on another planet. Next year should see some nice blood-letting in Cornwall

swissy_fit
IMO this will never happen, Cameron is not that stupid. The Yanks are though I'd like to believe that, but I think Cameron will do what his bankster masters tell him to do, which will, quite shortly, be more QE. Quite a few MPs with second homes in Cornwall I should think....
Charlie Don't Surf
Here's another one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-35112011.html £700K - reason sea view, famous artist previous owner. But it ain't pretty, its a bugger to get to and its pretty average when you look at it. I've seen better houses in Newlyn going for £450K

I don't agree about access If it's on next spring I would be interested. Who's the artist BTW?

tennaval
I've seen better houses in Newlyn going for £450K Funnily enough I'm sure it was marketed at around that price some time back. Its a nice place but def a premium for the provenance.

**Lexxy**
i mentioned the Zenith apartments at Porth, Newquay in the other Cornwall thread, i think it was earlier this year when the developer went bust & an administrator was appointed. looks like they've finally got their act together & are going for the hard sell, just as the season is coming to an end! just hope they do get full residential use passed by the council as they'll be a utter dead duck without it. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/new-homes/property-19969371.html
Charlie Don't Surf
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31492306.html Connor Downs - £400k. I'd expect to get the whole *****ing village for that much! I think the vendors are assuming their completely out of character makeover make it worth an extra 40% That and they need to pay of the Argos bill for all the utter crap they've filled their house with!
