Pulp's Common People comes to mind with regards to that article:

You'll never live like common people,

you'll never do what common people do,

you'll never fail like common people,

you'll never watch your life slide out of view,

and dance and drink and screw,

because there's nothing else to do.

in nature, they would all die.

In nature, *some* of them would die, which is the reason for having multiple children- so at least some of your genetics go forward.

This would not be an atypical family in Africa, where people live closer to nature than they do here.

Incidentally, I would be interested in seeing the breakdown for this £95,000, and frankly until I do I reserve the right to be sceptical about it.

Incidentally, lest somebody thinks this view is borne of VI, I have two children.

we are in nature, and they are doing pretty well. I would rather 95k go to people bringing up 10 kids - than bankers getting 7 billion this year of tax payers money - to be spent on coke and hookers. Prince Charles gets millions a year from the Duchy of Cornwall. Philip Green pays no tax. These are the real scum and social delinquents who need to be exposed.

we are looking in the wrong direction hating the needy.

Raising children is noble work; we pay for teachers and child care and social workers to do the same. It reflects how low this society has fallen that child care is not even seen as work.

because you are part of a society - and if you want to enjoy the fruits of that society you need to make your contribution. otherwise **** off.

They are not contributing just breeding and increasing the burden upon whats left of our society.

forget the bankers, they arent paying £2000 a week for this family.

no-one hates the needy....we hate the system that pays them a bankers salary for doing nothing.

Carrying on your argument, then every person should receive £9000 per annum from the government just for having kids.

And lets not forget, this family are not raising their children, they are relying on others to cook breakfast and deliver it, pizza deliveries, and all the rest just because this woman is so terribly disabled, she cant do anything.....

course, the article wont tell anything like the real story, its designed to get the heckles up.

its probably very rare for people to have 10 kids, even if they could afford it.....so why did they?

Umm, they are enjoying the fruits of society, and contributing less than eff all. How about they f*ck off?

I will happily f*ck off to a place where the government - and breathless, hapless supporters of it such as yourself - have absolutely no influence over my life. I am most definitely not enjoying the 'fruit' of this society. It is rotten.

What is this loony left day?

You have as many children as you can afford

Noone should have 10 kids in this day or age , any more than 3 is taking the piss.

I think they are scuttling out from under their rocks now that the government is really starting to reign in their glorious socialist utopia. Expect more shrill screams, but ignore them.

No problem, you tell me where one is and I'll do it.

There's bloody loads in my local paper, you'll just have to hop on the bus as IDS said. If I lost my job I'd get another one no problem whether it be for someone else or for myself, I'd go round knocking on doors asking anyone if they need their cars washed or their grass cut, their gutters unblocking, leaves removed from their gardens, toilets unblocking, anything within my ability, I'll never be unemployed unless I break my legs or something, but then I'm one of Thatcher's children that works his guts out in all weathers, even of I'm ill (not seriously ill of course).. If you are prepared to do anything you'll find a job, the problem is most people think alot of jobs are beneath them.

Not my parade Roger. If you check any of my previous posts, you'll find that any contempt I might have is for the system, rather that the people playing it.

Ah but that's the cop-out that produces these situations: WE are the system and until each of us acts responsibly the 'system' e.g. us, is f*cked.

I am as offended as everyone else should be by this.It should not however be used to pretend that every hard pressed family, often in straitened circumstances through no fault of their own,is creaming it.This seems to be The Mail agenda and it deflects attention from people who are just as guilty as this lot are.The rich are equally to blame for the state we as a nation are in and in many cases have actually been the cause of it.

yes because raising 10 children is not counted as work.

step out the bigoted small minded daily mail world

Raising 1 child is bloody hard work, let alone 10.

As long as you raise them & pay for their upbringing yourself, of course, and don't expect other tax-payers to subsidise your family's food and shelter AS WELL as their health and education that you already get for free.

Exactly

So many on here who think they're oh so clever and laugh at the "sheeple " for being drawn in by the media spin around HPI but then can't see they are being manipulated in the same way by the Daily Mail with articles like these.

I doubt it will ever happen but I would like to think that with the right governance we could get near to a situation where:

The work shy were forced to find work to support themselves.

People will take any job until they can find the right job rather than bleed the system.

The long term paracites that have been unemployed for 10 years reap what they sow and end up working as cheap manual labour in growing economies around the world because they can't get work in Britain. Given the racist/ anti-immigrant views many of them espout it would be a beautiful irony to see them on the receiving end :-)

Punishment for crime is stepped up and the death penalty used to free up space in the prisons.

With no financial incentives, and having to take responsibility for supporting their own families, vermin like these 10 child benefit families become a thing of the past along with the communities of other paracites they live amongst.

It will never happen but imagine how much less crime, tax, and anti-social behaviour we would have. I see the cuts on benefits as a small step in the right direction :-)

The rich are equally to blame for the state we as a nation are in and in many cases have actually been the cause of it.

I think the irresponsible banks should have gone to the wall. Lots of rich, rich people were wiped out by this crash. Good.

Constantly invoking the banker boogieman does not excuse parasites at the other end of the scale. At least bankers do actually pay tax at some point, much of it on capital from abroad.

In the last five years of capital punishment in the UK, only an average of four people a year were hanged so it wouldn't really make a great deal of difference to prison space.

Good to see no sympathy in the comments for that story

The Chancellor announced that no household will receive more than the average national income - £25,000 - in benefits.

That 70% cut in income is something Mrs Smith cannot bear to think about. 'It's not really that much money we get,' she said of her current handouts.

Why should they even get an average WORKING income for doing no work.

I wonder how many people are exploiting this blag where one partner goes on sick with a "bad back" which as every scum bag knows is practically impossible to medically disprove and the other partner goes onto benefits as their "full time carer"
