It's Time To Be Realistic In Our House Price Expectations

Recommended Posts

Good news coming on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure we'll have some nice surprises in the spending review. :)

I just hope the HPC servers can cope. It's gonna be a busy day.

That article is dead right, in that sellers can no longer call the shots.

I wonder how long it will take them to realise this?

And how long before estate agents will start advising them to price their properties more realistically?

According to some posts over on estateagenttoday it is not the EAs but the sellers who are responsible for the unrealistic asking prices. Hang on, I need a smiley.

Why the freaking hell does anybody here still want to buy a house? It's like hankering after buying a tulip bulb three years after Tulip Mania ended.

Spend your money, have fun, live your life, see the world. Don't dream of the day when you finally become able to trade your life for a pile of bricks.

THE OBSESSION WITH "OWNING PROPERTY" IS OVER, SHEEPLE!!!!

I tell my offspring that and they agree with me.....there is far more to life than being a slave to bricks and mortar. ;)

After 3 years of lusting after owning my own house, I'm almost starting to take this view. At anything like these levels it just ain't worth bothering. I'd rather pay someone elses 3% yield and keep my flexibility.

Thats what I have been doing for the last 6 years. Sold my business, rented a nice house, used some of my cash to buy a nice boat.. Without any debts and money worries I decided to semi retire, and just enjoy sailing were ever the wind takes me, I feel very liberated.
