The Express 'mixed Joy' Story

Recommended Posts

It's shown on the front page of this site of course, but I'm sure HPC'ers would like their say on the forum too.

On the day after the biggest monthly house price fall since records began, the Express headline and story beggars belief.

A 9/11 version might be "Demolition workers joy as site clearance demand soars"

Has there ever been a better example of deluded VI spin?

I see Sibley is in quick with a typically idiotic comment. :D

It doesn't seem very spinny to me.

An estate agent received 7% growth in the background of 11% national house sales increases...

11% from the sales increase - 3.6% from price decrease = 7.4%. Does that means the estate agent didn't do quite as well as they should have.

Aren't house volumes a good thing for HPC, as it means the market is more active and therefore real prices become clearer more quickly?

Hungarian shovel manufacturers production soars.

Spokesperson for the manufactures association Mr Verne Janos, was delighted and stated that "this was just fukcing brilliant – it may be toxic red sludge for most people and fish, but we’re absolutly minting it"

Still off his meds and up late...

GOOD STORY...

08.10.10, 1:25am

This government is doing really good things. Just stabilize the housing market now and UK will be back on track. Get the banks lending again and the economy will flourish.

Not up late. Just in from another night propping up the bar in Maidstone's Rampers niterie. Full of wind, piss and wild surmise...

It's no surprise, the Daily Express has always been targeted at poorly educated social climbers and this is what they want to hear.
