Market View: Bear. Don't know how much - conservatively 25-30%

Market Position: 'Soft' STR - was moving for work anyway but always had it in the back of my mind to sell if the right job came up.

This is an easy place to post a first post!

1) Market view: Bear

2) Market postion: STR (during move for work)

3) Area of Country: York

4) Occupation and Employer: Civil Service Scientist

5) Highest Level of Education: PhD

6) Age: 34

I was quite interested that a few others also seem to have STR whilst relocating. If one is needs to move in any case this definatly makes sense in the current scenario. I also suffer from the fact that my previous place was a 1-bed starter home in Nottingham. Prices in York are somewhat higher, and I would also like a bigger place, and so was hit by the large price differential! I think that the sooner home owners with any aspiration to 'climb the ladder' realise this, this sooner prices will reach a realistic level.

We were going to sell anyway but had our doubts about the market and realised we were not alone.
