Myth-busting - Three Myths busted, apparently.

Really? FT gives me a few words then a blank page.

Migrants are a burden on public services

.......

To a certain extent, but the productive majority who expect to earn their way in life are net contributors.

At least if you reclassify them as no-longer-migrants by the time they come to draw a pension.

Migrants take the jobs of British workers

.......

They may take jobs Brits can't take due to absurd benefits laws. For example, seasonal fruit-picking: for an unemployed Brit, the risk is that the seasonal work ends, they have nothing, and are denied the benefits they had before.

Migrants depress the wages of British workers

.......

Could be true in some cases. Did the price of a plumber not come down when the Poles arrived in force?
