More Woe From Fun Town

Recommended Posts

I too was having a good day yesterday. It seemed I was reading more and more stories about people complaining about being in neg equity.

One particular story about a women losing £43,000 and wanting to sue the surveyors.

AND THE HALIFAX FIGURE COMES FROM OUT OF THE BLUE

6 months ago you would not have seen any neg equity stories.

The whole thing just sends my head spinning

The mainstream media stories don't match reality

House prices rise fourfold says Halifax

http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/...1769179,00.html

HPI of 1.6% last month is over 19% per annum, is this what they are trying to pass off to the public as truth? They can NOT be serious..

Maybe the Halifax board could be used by the blair govt as officials in a Ministry of Truth. They show enormous potential for the job..

Read the full thread. Very negative. The Halifax figures just don't match wgat is being talked about on the ground.

I can only assume that the market south of the boarder is so slow that the normally smaller Scottish market is skuing the figures.

The good news is that the market in Scotland is slowing. That should let the values come down.
