Help! My House Is Falling Down

A structural survey was not mentioned as far as I can remember. they cant have had one done otherwise the problems would have been highlighted and no one in their right mind would have went ahead with the purchase. I think they got away very luckily with the work required, a quick jet of the drains, a patching up of the roof and some expanding foam injected into the foundations. Anyone who buys an old 16 room house in that condition without a survey deserves to get the shock of their life when the thing falls down (obviously not with anyone inside at the time).
