Democorruptcy
link to BBC story It reads like a RICS report. Edinburgh has slipped further down a league table of world financial centres but Glasgow has made a slight recovery in the Global Financial Centres Index. Oh.... this sounds a bit bad let's try end it more upbeat. The performance of both Glasgow and Edinburgh is better than the last survey when they both fell sharply down the index
Muswell Hillbilly
‘Edinburgh has slipped further down a league table of world financial centres but Glasgow has made a slight recovery in the Global Financial Centres Index.’ It’s amusing to see the slant that the Glasgow-centric paper the Herald has on this: Glasgow up in financial league table
Captain Cavey
from the beeb The assessments are based on people and skills, business environment, property factors with other infrastructure, market access and general competitiveness. Edinburgh’s different = never ending HPI = higher salaries = loss of competiveness = drop in rankings. QED
