Tenant Wins 15-Year Battle To Buy Council House

Recommended Posts

Several things wrong in this situation - for a start, he wasn't a proper council tenant, but worked for the council and wangled his way in to the property, before trying to buy it through the 'right to buy' scheme, so he was just a bit of an opportunist really.

But no-one has pointed out the ridiculous rise in the price of a house in 15 years from £93k to £350k!!

Is he the only guy in that house?

Given that it was in 95 and still is roughly twice the price of the 'average' house, and they (rightly) want to turf out people in council houses bigger than their needs, it doesnt really sit right.
