One Generation To Free Housing

Recommended Posts

Similar to BTL but non profit , with the aim of freeing the next generation from spending 25 years in debt to the bank. One generation gives up the equity in their property which goes into trust , the renters pay a minimum rent as a mortgage 10% of income for example which goes to buying other properties.

People would own their own homes so far as doing whatever they wanted to the structure or living there as long as they wanted. They could even knock down and rebuild at their own cost but the site would remain in trust. It may be this has all thought of before but the key part is it requires one person to sacrifice the entire equity in their property.

Also a land tax could stop it working. The main aim would be to free all that money going to paying a bank who spend it on overpriced luxury goods and glass towers, and instead leave it in the hands of the person working minimum wge who can now afford a home.
