The End Of Pensions

Recommended Posts

First of all you laugh at the stupidity of it, how could such a thing happen here?

I read somewhere that many immigrants go back to the sub-continent, to live extended time on retirement. Their relatives dont report the death, and reap the pension for as long as they can.

In the UK, getting away with that is a bit harder, or at least I hope it is. I would bet that a few chancers at least try it on though.

If you cannot contain the level of fraud for a universal benefit like this, then bad things happen, the cost of the benefit balloons out of control and you just cant pay it anymore. It appears that the Japanese dont have the largest government debt of industrialised nations for no reason.

With Pensions under so much scrutiny at the moment, we clearly need to make sure that we have a way of defining who is entitled and who isnt. I mean, if you cant control benefits paid on the basis of the fact that you are still alive, something pretty easy to check, then what chance does the rest of the benefit system have?

No chance whatsoever given that the whole benefits system is one massive fraud.

All the welfare state has done is to entrench and expand poverty in this country

If you pay people more money than they could earn to be poor

pretty soon everyone will be poor

Ain't Socialism wonderful
