What Changes Are Happening In The Next Few Months (October Onwards)?

Recommended Posts

I know there are a few changes commencing in the next few months, reduction in support for mortgage interest is one but I am sure I read that some changes to LHA (local housing allowance) were being brought in this October for very expensive properties? Also, isn't the government supposed to be annoucing more cuts/tax rises in October? Any other significant economy/benefits changes scheduled to be announced/start in the next few months?

I think the big one is the government's spending review in October. If they know what they are doing they will have more than one option to roll out at that time and it might depend on the economic news over the next 6 weeks whether major cuts are coming or if they will bottle it.
