Topic Of The Day Forum

Recommended Posts

Guest wrongmove

HPC has recently become a general purpose board. I, and obviously many others, judging by the number of posts, do not mind this. However, not everyone agrees, and sometimes it is good to have concentrated, focused discussion on the one subject of "where are prices going, and why?".

I don't know what the answer is (in terms of Forum structure, or house prices :D ), but I have a suggestion. How about having a board 2, Topic of the Day. The topic could be set by a moderator, and when it changes, all threads get transferred to the OT Forum.

This begs the question, why not just use the the OT Forum ?

IMO, the OT forum is too general, so it just doesn't get used for live debate. If a TOTD Forum existed, the debate would still be highly topical, and focused on a single OT topic. Therefore, it may get used.

Any opinions or alternative suggestions ? Or is it just fine as it is ?
