In fact, it reminds me of another can't loose asset category.

Are can't loose assets quite tight then?

Well worth reading the comments on the article by the way, tells it how it is.

Unfortunately as one commentator points out, if the banks fail to keep the price of gold suppressed then you can guarantee governments will tax gold to the hilt. This is why it's important to own physical gold rather than gold in an easily traceable ETF that cannot be liquidated without the authorities knowing.
