Must be a press release... perhaps about a UK bank?

(if it's RBS, my mate's 'tip off' the other day would have been right after all)

I guess those ratings guys run strict embargoes - and the journos know they'll be cut out of the loop if they don't respect them. I'm wondering whether the UK has had its ratings cut?

My guess would be the amount that RBS will have to reduce the value of their 'trading book' as a result of the Irelnd downgrade....meted out as a scarey nominal amount out for every person in the UK.

Hopefully that would manifest itself in them kicking the yank scum out of Liverpool FC too. :angry:
