Reminds me of Bernanke's idea of throwing money out of helicopters, with the exception that the Bernanke scenario involves stealing a little bit from everyone rather than just one bank. Possibly the opposite: money not in the bank isn't being multiplied by fractional reserve. Though that foolishly assumes the bank's accountants notice it's gone.
