neon tetra
I came across this: ( http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/housepricecrash.co.uk ) "Compared with all internet users, the site appeals more to users who are both uneducated and highly educated; its visitors also tend to consist of men browsing from school and home who have incomes over $30,000 and have more children. The site is located in the UK. Housepricecrash.co.uk has a relatively good traffic rank in the city of Hessle (#12), and visitors to this site spend approximately thirteen minutes per visit to the site and 56 seconds per pageview." Just out of interest, who are the people earning over £30,000 whilst still at school? And own up - who lives in Hessle? (where is Hessle?)

yellerkat
This relies on people installing the Alexa toolbar: Alexa could not exist without the participation of the Alexa Toolbar community. Each member of the community, in addition to getting a useful tool, is giving back. Simply by using the toolbar each member contributes valuable information about the web , how it is used, what is important and what is not. This information is returned to the community as Related Links, Traffic Rankings and more. Want to help? Install the Alexa Toolbar, and tell your friends. The more people use Alexa, the more useful it will be. Not too many on this site dumb enough to do that.

The Beast
And own up - who lives in Hessle? (where is Hessle?) Hessle is a small town just to the west of Hull with a population of about 15 thousand so shows what a lot of b0ll0x the alexa thing is.
Bruce Banner
Exactly. Here it is: A lot of teachers, like other public sector workers, are Labour supporters. Labour activists were very busy on this forum in the run-up to the election .
scepticus
LOL, I enjoyed skimmed through the reviews. Most all the reviews are 5-star or 1-star. Apparently most of you are still in school...
Selling up
Hessle is a small town just to the west of Hull with a population of about 15 thousand so shows what a lot of b0ll0x the alexa thing is. So this is the results of a self-selecting sample (those internet users choose to download the Alexa Toolbar) whose size is not revealed. It's almost an insult to the intelligence that Alexa considers these results worthy of 'analysis'.
