A Sure-fire Sign Of Recession?

Recommended Posts

You know people are hard up when they are forced to drink at home to save money.

During the past year in my local Tesco I have observed that the trolleys which used to be piled high are now level, and the drink occupies 25% of the trolley.

These little things tell you more about people`s financial situations than all the rubbish the media spins.

I will have to give you Mrs C`s recession recipe.

Fresh mince with chopped cabbage casseroled in a stock of tomato soup and served on a bed of boiled rice.

I remember when I was a kid in the last recession, parents were quiet hard up but am very proud of the way they brought me up against all thier obstacles.

I remember my dad having to stay in on a friday night whilst my mother went out, and he made a sausage meat curry.

now thats hard up.
