Over A Million People Use "pay-Day" Loans

I could understand the poor going for these payday loans.......... if we didn't have a welfare state.

I'm with Sarah and Vaevictus on this. I rather suspect that the majority of people taking these loans out are those that simply cannot scrimp, save and make financial sacrifices and I have known a few people that have fallen into this category.

I've lived on £60 benefit a week for about 4 months in the past too.
