Hometrack's Fugures...

The figures in Aug report say "average price down from 167k to 161k" and "3,7% lower in past 12 months"

Are these inflation adjusted figures. I don't think so.

If not and inflation (albeit the GB cooked version of it) is at least 2% then the 167k should be adjusted to 170,340.

On this rationale the true drop is 5.7% not 3.7%?

Any comments?

No property reports include inflation.

Personally, I don't think alot of people understand what inflation is.

Yesterday, this was mentioned at work and someone commented that inflation is companies wanting more profit :o Someone then said its rising prices... my reply "that's the effect of inflation, not the cause!" their faces looked like this: :blink:
