Recommended Posts

UK unemployment falls to 2.46 million

The number of people unemployed in the UK fell by 49,000 to 2.46 million in the three months to June, figures show.

This is the second month in a row that the jobless number has fallen, with analysts describing the figures as positive news for the UK jobs market.

The claimant count for those seeking unemployment benefit also fell by 3,800 in July to 1.46 million.

Figures released earlier this week had raised concerns that the economic recovery was starting to lose momentum

49,000 fewer "unemployed" which resulted in only 3800 fewer benefit claimants .. eh ?
